The Battle Of Sydney between the Bears & the Ice Dogs continues at Liverpool on Sunday May 8. It will be the second time that the teams have played each other in 2016's regular season with the Ice Dogs winning 6-2 at Penrith Ice Palace on Sunday May 1.


Both teams play the previous day. The Ice Dogs host the Newcastle North Stars while the Bears return to Sydney after playing the CBR Brave in Canberra. The previous day's action will be an important factor in this game. The Ice Dogs have an advantage because they do not have to travel however the Bears always enjoy the road trip to Canberra. Bears fans will remember that the Bears' first win in 2015 was on the road on the second day of a double header in Adelaide. 

The match starts at 5pm at the Liverpool Catholic Club's ice rink. Unlike previous years, tickets for the game are available for purchase in advance. In another first, the broadcast of the game will be heard on radio in Sydney on Hawkesbury Radio 88.9FM. The game will be simulcast with the usual Bears Live audio coverage.
