#1 Anthony Kimlin

What teams/leagues have you played on, and what differences have you noticed? 
Ontario Junior Hockey League - Markham Waxers, Hamilton RedWings, Pickering Panthers.  Allen Cup Hockey League - Whitby Dunlops.  Playing in Canada has been a great experience and the AIHL is by all means an outstanding league where the level of play is high. 

How did it feel playing in your home state of QLD during the Brisbane Battle? 
I was very excited to go back to Queensland to play. It was great to catch up with family. 

Why #1?
I chose the my number because it was the number I was given for the national team so I decided to carry on using it in the AIHL. 

What do you think of the quality of hockey in this country? 
The quality of the AIHL is excellent. The import players are world class and the local players are better every year. The AIHL will only get better which is great for the supporters, players and the city. 

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 
A lot of players tend to have pre-game rituals or superstitions but I don’t generally.  I try to keep a level head and remain focussed on the task at hand. 

How old were you when you started playing hockey? 
I began playing inline hockey when I was 7 years old. I came across a public session and have loved the game of hockey ever since! 

Favourite NHL team and player? 
My favourite team is definitely the Toronto Maple Leafs. My favourite player is, the now retired, Mats Sundin.
